The Latina super star has just signed her first beauty contract with CoverGirl (owned by PandG), and announced it herself on Twitter and Facebook (CosmeticWorld). She is currently shooting her first advertising campaign for the brand, and the ads are scheduled to debut in January 2012, in which Ms. Vergara will be representing some innovative new additions to the CoverGirl product line-up.Sofia is the ONLY Hispanic actress who started her career in a U.S. Hispanic Network and successfully crossed over to the general market. Known for her role on the ABC series, "Modern Family," Vergara was recently named one of 2010’s Faces to Watch by The New York Times, and was also featured in People’s “Most Beautiful” issue.
On her most successful year yet, she was nominated for an Emmy as "Best Supporting Actress in a Musical or Comedy Series" for her role in "Modern Family." The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard have also named her one of the most talented and powerful women in Hispanic entertainment.
