If you haven't heard or read about it yet ... RiRi is M.A.C.'s VIVA GLAM girl for 2014!!!!
The Viva Glam campaign started in 1994; a philanthropic initiative where all proceeds from the campaign product - Lipstick - go to charity for all persons with HIV / AIDS!
In past campaigns, Eve, Boy George, Cindy Lauper, RuPaul, Lil Kim and Mary J Blige, Ricky Martin and Nicki Minaj (just to name a few) have been spokespersons for MACs VIVA GLAM lipstick. Due to the spokespersons popularity, the demand for the product is really high and it's a proven success to raise money for the cause annually!
This is huge for Rihanna.. and MAC as well! Despite the raunchy infamous news you may hear about BAD GYAL RiRi and on and off again boyfriend Chris Brown - Rihanna has a strong fan base that loves her no matter what. The Viva Glam campaign just announced that Rihanna was the new face of Viva Glam for 2014 and the pre-sell sold out - how crazy is that?!?!? RiRi was apart of the entire production process - choosing the reddist of reds obviously to parallel the cause of the campaign - AIDS/HIV charities.
I'm a huge Rihanna fan, so I can understand the desire to support and purchase anything that she is apart of.
