HI EVERYONE!

I have been away far too long... I was pregnant... had a prince....reevaluated and relocated... and now I am back on my GRIND!

I am in the process of redesigning my Beauty Blog otherwise known as CocoaCosConnection.  My goal is to have this completed by November 2013 and do a soft launch THIS December. The official launch will be scheduled for January 2014!!

Again, to reintroduce what this Beauty Blogsite is all about ... I am not proclaiming myself to be an expert -  I just have years of experience and exposure in the Beauty Industry; having worked for some of the TOP selling Luxury Brands in the capital of the world - New York City.  The mission of my site is to be an unfiltered informational stream of updates within the beauty industry... from products to endorsements; corporate marketing strategies down to the customer reviews and requests.. something that anyone in love with beauty products would be interested in ...

New widgets and links will be made available for the convenience of my readers.. not to mention a MAJOR facelift is in the works!

Stay tuned....

Beauty Is Her Name......

READERS! I have been so busy working working working.. haven't made much time with my informative blog. Shame on me!

Behold my readers.. yet my daily life is about all beauty.. from the minute I wake up to the time I get prepped for bed (again). First, I wash my face with Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser w/ Taramind (for my oily ass skin), then I use the Clarins Iris Toning Lotion after my wash using two cotton pads (always) to revitalize my skin and pores.

After getting showered, made up and dressed (fresh and fabulous), I head for the train to Park Avenue in NYC - where I work at one of the worlds best skincare and beauty companies in the world. However, during my ride into the city I check my email updates from google @lerts, L'Oreal, Estee Lauder, MAC, Coty etc. and the lists goes on and then I check my WWD.com alerts to see what designer features what and where, who acquired who and what is the next to come for Spring Season (although we have just entered into the Fall).

Next stop Grand Central (my favorite), as everyone transfers from the 4/5 to the 6, MetroNorth to subway.. train to foot -- you see all of the oldest to latest trends, fabulous to hawtmesses on the street, and confident to who needs a nitro injecion of EGOtistical juice (the weak) It's great .. now to 33rd. I love the BILLBOARD on 32nd - FASHION/BEAUTY/ICONIC models take the sky and remind you that being fabulous is the only way to get through the day..

Then I enter the bldg and the scent of fresh faced people welcome me and off to work I go fabulously!

After a long hectic day, I head home via the concrete jungle and underground at that - at war with the pollution radicals in the air which are killing my young beautiful skin cells one by one, causing a delay in cell renewal, making my face oily and mashed up with clogged pores, blackheads and whiteheads (ugh - but it's so true). I always try my best to bring along the latest F/B magazine to catch up on styles, products and celebs. By the time I reach home my only focus is to wash my hands and face. I practice the same routine from the morning with both the Foaming Gentle Toning Lotion and the Toner.

It's amazing how important it is to keep yourself younger, fresher longer.

Start your day in order with your beauty items for hair and make-up/skincare.

FALL in FEATHERS..

This fall's equinox - feathers rock! Feather extensions have been a fad for the two years. If you didn't know - now you do - thanks to the COCOACOSGIRL!

Sistahs.. but I personally, haven't seen you rockin the feather extension(s) - ONLY INDIAN REMY!! Maybe you just didnt know what, where, when, why or HOW!

Long or Short, Straight or Curled - the feather is VERSATILE! You can use rollers, hot curling/flat iron and ceramic hot rollers - so WORK IT LADIES...

Well, this upcoming season - OWN IT! You can rock the fall colored feathers with your Autumn wardrobe! Creams, Burnt Oranges, Tan, Browns and Deep Mustard Yellows. Make a statement with your feather extension(s).

So - I did my research on what it means to wear feathers as an accessory in your hair or on your head. This feather tradition goes way back to the Indians (all tribes). Each feather had to be earned by an act of bravery. Eagle feathers were used a lot because it was considered sacred (kind of like how we wear the cross around our necks). The Eagle's feather(s) represented the following: honesty, truth, majesty, strength, courage, wisdom, power, and freedom.

Given that you now have a little history lesson behind why feathers were worn by the Indians as an accessory - What will your symbolic feather of choice be?

You should be able to get your feather extension(s) installed at your local beauty salon, and they cost roughly $10 - $15 per extension; you may find a bundle deal at 3/4 for $35.

*If you are friends with me on Facebook - Inquire withing to schedule an appointment with me at The Glam Cafe!

Also, what's hawt are the feather headbands -- get your SJP (Sarah Jessica Parker) on!

FashionForward!

Enjoy the upcoming Fall Trends ......

Both beauties, the International Liya Kebede(top) and US born and raised Jessica White (bottom) are making some role-model moves this year!

L’Oreal Paris announced that Liya Kebede will be joining the brand as their ambassador newbie alongside their existing fabulous spokeswomen, Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez. Kebede was born and raised in Addis, Ethiopia. A film director spotted her while she was attending school and introduced her to a French modeling agent. Kebede's big break came when Tom Ford asked her for an exclusive contract for his Gucci Fall/Winter 2000 fashion show. Her popularity in the fashion industry sky-rocketed when she appeared on the cover of the May 2002 edition of Paris Vogue, which dedicated the entire issue to her.

Here is a snippet from her interview with BeautyInc/WWD trade mag with Rachel Brown:
(WWD/BeatyInc) How did you create the colors for OPI, and what's your favorite color?

(Serena Williams) "When you do a collection, you have to do it in advance and make sure it is going to be in style. Thank goodness I have a fashion background, because I was able to look up different fashion and nail trends. OPI came up with this great concept where you put on a nail polish and it actually cracks and it looks like a completely different design that takes hours to do."

Serena is definitely doin' her thing! She has her apparel company, an accessory collection currently distributed via HSN http://www.hsn.com/serena-williams/serena-williams_c-sw_a-6590_xc.aspx; and she is the spokesperson for Mission Skincare http://www.missionathletecare.com/- betcha didn't know that - did ya!?!?
